Y’know when you’re looking at your own food porn and your main thoughts are ‘I wanna eat that nowww’ – current feels. Even though I just scoffed a load of Mini Eggs, I could definitely demolish a whole lobster again. Yuuumerz.
Last week’s trip to Browns was a bit different on the blogging front for me. Sheffield’s only just getting up to date on the fashion front, so a blogging trip that’s more ‘lifestyle’ focused is exciting. As a city, we’re upping our game when it comes to good grub, with Browns the latest to give us a fresh update. It’s right in the centre of town with cute views around The Peace Gardens – yeah, the bit of town you actually wanna have a walk round at night! Browns has been one of my go-tos for afternoon tea in the steal city, but I was yet to give their evening menu a go… Me and my ma (aka my always blogging plus one) were happy to be making a bit of a night of it, heading along for some foodie treats and Friday evening drinks. Puuurfect. Food wise I was pretty much sorted – good grills, just my sort of starters and desserts to satisfy any sweet tooth (no matter how full I am, I will always manage the most sickly of desserts). I went with prosciutto with asparagus and a poached egg for starter, which is basically a combination of my favourite things. Poached egg goodness has already made me plan a trip back to Browns for brekky.
Main was lobster & fries, my little-bit-fancy/comfort food love. I can’t help but forever be a fries with everything girl! To round off a starter and main that I gobbled up quickly I went with the chocolate brownie. Light option, y’know. Ughhh it was amazing! Stick to the roof of your mouth sort of amazing.
So, all round yummy night for me and the mothership. We’ve already got our Browns breakfast planned, but I’ll definitely be making a reservation when I’ve got something to celebrate… It’s got such a nice atmosphere for a special night out! You can take a look at Browns new menu here.
