MESH, EMBROIDERY, GINGHAM AND PASTELS ARE QUICKLY BECOMING MY MOST LOVED.
Yup. After getting completely bored of my monochrome wardrobe, Spring 2017 fashion has been a game changer. With so many fun styles on the high-street right now, I’ve finally got out of my comfort zone, and gone back to some looks I used to love! I don’t know when I gave up on pastels, florals, and cute girly dresses, but I’m happy to have them back in my life. Winter can feel really restricting – the number of outfits I’ve had to ruin with a big jumper and coat!
Thankfully, Spring is now in full swing, opaque tights have been banished and my sunglasses are firmly in place. I’ve been working on packing away Winter clothes, bringing out a few pieces for warmer months, and purchasing some new styles to freshen things up for 2017.
GIMME ANYTHING THAT GOES WITH DENIM.
It’s actually tops that I’ve bought a lot of for Spring – mostly things I can wear with my denim favourites. I can already tell that I’ll be spending my summer in baggy denim shorts… I love the casual kind that can be worn with anything from oversized tees to glitzy crop tops. I’ve got a couple of embroidered t-shirts on order from eBay too, so they’ll go just right with any denim based outfits.
Gingham is another thing that I think goes perrrfect with denim, even if it is a bit of a ‘yeeehaaa’ vibe. I’m down with that. I’ve not really bought anything in gingham yet, but I’m lusting after off the shoulder shirts and mini dresses in the print.
LACE DETAILS FOR LAYERING.
Kaaay, we all know I’ve been loving a bralet on the ‘gram. I just think they’re the perfect layering piece over warmer months! Sack the ugly bras, give me something lacy that’s worth flashing a little. I also loveeee how they look layered over basic tees.
OF COURSE, FLORALS.
Has Spring even started if you don’t buy yourself a floral frock? It’s the forever trend at this time of year, but that also means there’s opportunity to find something pretty lurking in your wardrobe. I’ve already found a few summer dresses, but I also picked up this New Look jumper after seeing it on mega babe @emmazoeyroche. Yep, it’s a knitted jumper, but I think it’s just right as a throw-over piece when it turns a bit cooler. I’ve got visions of wearing it tied round my waist on warmer days – puhhhlease don’t piss it down from now until August!

AAAAND THE WISH LIST.
It could definitely be longer – the likes of Topshop, ASOS and New Look are all my favourites right now for some of these Spring trends! Plus, I’ve seen some suuuper lovely styles that aren’t going to leave you living on baked beans for the rest of the month… If it’s something especially trend led then I don’t want to be spending a fortune.
So yeah, lots of lighter tones, feminine details and cute accessories!
