THE FAKE KIND OR OTHERWISE
From an actual boyfriend. Well, unusually so… I’m normally buying boyfriend style clobber myself, raiding Primark’s menswear range for their oversized essentials. No shame – it does the same job! I’ve always liked anything oversized anyway, and the single folk amongst us shouldn’t be penalised when it comes to snuggly, Lynx smelling goods.
BECAUSE IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR…
Anyway, I have stole this one from my OH, but it’s merged in with a mix of pre-purchased, mock ‘boyfriend jumpers’. This one’s made its way into my life because it’s that time of year, right? I’m ready for it now. Give me a pumpkin spiced latte and all the cosy clothing I can get. Summer has been lovely, but once I know Autumn is here I’m ready to go with it, whole hog. And in walks the big, baggy jumper. I love this sort of round neck, jersey style fit. It’s the dreeeam casual option, so I’ve been digging out the similar styles I packed away over summer – up to now I’ve gathered this, a basic black version and a grey one that looks cute layered over summer florals.
For now, I’m gonna stick some of my faves below for you, but as this one came did actually come from Texas, I can’t find anything direct… I even had a sift through eBay, but for once my favourite is letting me down!
One thing I would say is RAID CHARITY SHOPS. Unnecessary caps lock usage, but I’m trying to reinforce that even though they can sometimes make you feel a bit ‘ick’, charity shops are still treasure troves of fashunnn-y finds. Kay, maybe not fancy kinda fashunnn, but second had definitely has its place. If you’ve got a bit of time, you can find what you’ll see in vintage stores, but it’ll probably cost you less than a fiver.
