This Season’s A/W Jacket

JACKET/BLAZER

It’s somewhere in-between I think. Smart enough for suit style with trousers, but something you can wear as an autumnal layer. With it being that awkward ‘I’m too hot/I’m too cold’ time of year, this is the perfect style fitting the changing climate… I spend September wondering if it’s warm enough to not bother with a jacket!

This one I picked up from Nasty Gal and it’s ended up featuring a lot on my Instagram and also YouTube (trying to get back to filming!). It’s a really nice fit, slightly oversized and I love the button details on it. So far I’ve worn it bloody loads – my favourite is with light wash denim, but I like it for work outfits too… I spend over 70% of my time at work, I might as well look half decent!

HEY HEYYY TO CHECKS

I’m really into the checks. In fact, I think the whole of Instagram feel the same. This style of jacket has quickly become the ‘thing’ for Autumn 2017, but its popularity doesn’t stop be me being super into it. This balance between tweed and checks could not be better for this time of year! I do feel a little country bumpkin (I had a trip to Harrogate in it where I felt like I’d dressed very appropriate lol…) but it goes so well with all things knitwear.

I’m already lusting after a grey version. I love the brown-ish tone, but I’ve got a lot that would definitely go well with grey. I’ve got my birthday coming up in a few weeks, so I might treat myself to another one of these styles if I get some spends!
